Why the change? Why now?

At Taptap, we have long been headed towards a fully connected and integrated world, where context is king and data and technology are more accessible than ever. We are all moving towards a more consolidated future, in which the physical and digital, marketing and advertising, and branding and performance merge - a reality reflected in our products and technology. Therefore, the core concept of our new logo is that of unifying many distinct parts to form a whole, to create something new. 

For Taptap, this means connecting distinct data ecosystems through technology to create new possibilities for advertising and marketing whether connecting historical dots for future predictive analysis, understanding how context in real time impacts strategy or creating an advanced geospatial intelligence platform. This new logo represents the next phase in our development. It is a more formal look that better defines our current identity.

How did we get here?

  • 2010 - 2012: Founded in March 2010 and became the leading premium mobile advertising network in Spain.  Received first and only VC Round. Identified location context as an increasing global opportunity in advertising.
  • 2013 - 2015: Launched the first version of the Sonata DSP platform leveraging location as a differentiating intelligence signal. Implemented Sonata Location Quality Index, the first location signal qualifier for advertising. Gained international traction in the Americas. 
  • 2016 - 2018: Expanded the Sonata DSP to an omnichannel platform, built a DMP and advanced contextual dynamic creative capabilities. Experienced major growth in the Americas (Mexico, Colombia, Peru & Chile). Sonata DSP scales to 46 countries.
  • 2019 - 2021: Sonata DSP implementation of machine learning, called Sonata MORE.  Launched Sonata Location Intelligence, the first-to-market geospatial analytics platform that directly merges marketing and advertising.

Today, Taptap works with top marketers and advertisers around the globe to bring measurable and transparent results through omnichannel advertising and marketing intelligence - all powered by location.
